HYSTERIC GLAMOUR

It’s not only the name of a Japanese fashion brand but also the way I like to describe Hong Kong. The city is busy, overcrowded! (the hysteric part) And hard to walk in those crowds with a good ol’ jetlag. But it also has a glamorous side. You can have a high tea at The Peninsula, shop at Lane Crawford luxury department store, have drinks at trendy rooftop bars or place a bet on the horse with the funniest name at the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The city where having a designer handbag is priority number one. Take a look at my HK photo diary. DSC00571

But first coffee! (or tea actually).  Blink and you’ll miss it. A small but cosy coffee place with the best cappuccinos and sandwiches. Sometimes there’s even a queu. Don’t forget to take a look in their garden, there are a few more seats over there. Café Corridor, G/F 26a Russel street, Causeway Bay.

Always look up when walking in Hong Kong. Because of the lack of space (and high rent prices) you can find a lot of restaurants and boutiques hidden away in high buildings. Just like this little cutie Glimmer. Here you’ll find one off pieces by up and coming Korean designers. (Korean fashion is very popular in HK.) Surely you’ll never bump into someone with the same outfit. No address unfortunately..no really 😉

Can’t visit HK without stopping by the SoHo area. I love Edit where they sell brands like Être Cécile and jewellery by LeiVanKash. And get a ‘it’ juice or black water at Pressed Juices. Hollywood road, Central.

I haven’t seen a single lady in Hong Kong without a designer bag. Hell! Even these two gents were sporting some serious arm candy! Meet the Céline luggage bag and Kelly bag by Hermés! How about thát for a ‘murse’?

Try before you die. I could say that I’m a total foodie and was highly anticipating this Teriyaki rice pizza (?!) but I was hungry and tired I didn’t feel like taking one more step. (it was okay btw..)DSC00684
